  2. I don’t much like David Cameron but you do have it in for him, don’t you? Your friends in Greece, Syriza, also had less than 37% and, even with their strange allies, ANEL, only had 41.1% of the votes in the 2015 elections. Hitler’s National Socialist German Workers’ Party never had a majority of the votes in an election. He was voted in as chancellor with the help of the “Deutsch Nationale Partei” of von Papen and, I think, the abstention of the Catholic party, “Zentrum”.

Note from the editor: I am just pointing out (another post today) that Cameron has no mandate, like any government with 36,7% of the vote. What Hitler shows is an absolute majority can do as it pleases leading the country to destruction. or do you thing the U.K. will survive a referedum? Hitler by the way held two elections. In the firts he had 33% and no majority and in the second a majority with more votes than Cameron, 38%.

  3. Blair won with 35% in 2005.

Note from the editor: Actually Blair got 43% of the vote, similar to the PP in Spain with a supposedly proportional vote (only proportional in big cities, ie Madrid and Barcelona). Look at the mess the PP has made leading to the future break up of Spain! The Cameron Titanic, likle the PP Armada, is heading full steam ahead to the UK break up too.

Ian: Blair’s 43% was in 1997,but only 35% in 2005.I don’t think there will be a break-up but a federal -like rearrangement of the UK,and we shall stay in a bit more democratic EU after the referendum.
Note from the editor: Actually it was 36%, the same as Cameron now and look at the disasters he made then.
