  1. Hardly surprising that there are so many Castilian names in Ciutadans; did you not see the study that was published after the reléase of Eight Catalan Surnames? The most common family name in Catalonia is Garcia and the next nine all end in -ez…Catalan names unfortunately come to the fore when we look at chorizos, ( Pujol, Millet etc.)

    Note form the editor: Take care of facile comparisons. The most common English name is Mohammed and all the MPs fiddling expenses have Englsih surnames. By your reading, Labour should field Muslim candidates and the Tories are all corrupt…By the way there is no shortage of Castilian names in all the corruption trials in Madrid.
